Stevan Buren started working on construction crews at 16, was running crews at 17 and went out on his own as an independent contractor at 18. The company that carries his name now works out of an office on North Nolan River Road in Cleburne, with a sales team, install crews and an office staff behind it.
Roofing is most of the work: replacements, repairs, hail and wind claims, metal roofs and commercial systems, across Johnson, Hood and Hill counties and the Fort Worth side of the metro. Windows and flooring have their own crews, which matters most after a storm, when the damage rarely stops at the shingles.
Many of the people here live in Cleburne, Granbury, Burleson and Glen Rose, the same towns the trucks drive to every day.
